Sizing + Fit

Here at craene studio + archive, we strive to help you find your perfect fit.

Garment fit standards shift over the years and from brand to brand. This is why we sort all of our unique secondhand garments using contemporary + inclusive industry standards. For this reason, we utilize numeric sizing as detailed below.

We also carefully measure each of our garments by hand to collect key fit specifications; these are included in each garment’s description. We recommend grabbing a few of your favorite pieces from your wardrobe and measuring them using the guides below to better understand what works best for you.

How-to-Measure Guidelines

Lay your garment flat on a large, even surface. Your measurements will be most accurate if the entirety of the garment is resting on the surface and not hanging off the sides. Smooth out any folds or wrinkles, but avoid actively stretching out the garment. Measure in straight lines, ideally with a tailor’s measuring tape (although a heavy-duty tape measure or yardstick will work in a pinch!).
